Supporting forestry conservation
We work with community stakeholders to support forestry conservation.
Prima Meat Packers Forest Growing
In 2006, we launched Prima Meat Packers Forest Growing, a program that supports forestry management in efforts Saitama Prefecture. As part of the program, employees from Prima Fine Foods Ltd. engage in forest thinning operations.
A total of 29 employees participated in the last program, held in November 2024.


Afforestation work during the Shimizu Green Festival
Employees from Prima Meat Packers Hokkaido Plant participate in Shimizu Town Forestry Promotion Association’s Shimizu Green Festival. A total of 35 employees participated in the last festival, held in July 2024.
Afforestation work in Honjo Suigen
In May 2023, 15 employees from Akita Fine Foods Co. Ltd. participated in an afforestation program run by a local forestry association (Honjo Suigen no Mori Ikuseikai). Launched in 1998, the program has planted more than 200,000 zelkova, beech, and other broadleaf trees. During the last event, the employees removed branches from the older broadleaf trees and tidied the ground.
Dietary education
As a food manufacturer, Prima Meat Packers supplies elementary schools with original learning materials to educate children about the importance of diet and food safety and to transmit a bountiful dietary heritage.
Visiting lectures at Showa Women’s University

Prima Meat Packers offers a lecture on business management in the food industry to Showa Women’s University. The lecture is delivered in the Department of Food Safety Management, part of the university’s Faculty of Food Health Science, by Prima Meat Packer’s president, Naoto Chiba, in his role as a visiting lecturer at the university. During each lecture, President Chiba discusses procurement, product development, production and quality management, and sales operations.
Cleanup event
Prima Meat Packers Hokkaido Plant participates in Love Earth Cleanup in Hokkaido, a cleanup program run by an NPO (the Hokkaido Environmental Community Network). During each event, employees clean the vicinity of the plant.
Prima Meat Packers Ibaraki Plant participates in largescale cleanups organized in the Kasumigaura and Kitaura areas by Tsuchiura’s municipal government. During each event, the employees cleaned the Hanamuro River. A cumulative total of 218 employees participated in the events held in July 2023 and March 2024.
