Biodiversity: Task Force on Nature-related Financial Disclosures

As a meat and processed food business operator, the Prima Meat Packers Group considers the natural capital and biodiversity to be an essential part of our business, and we believe that we have a responsibility to preserve them for future generations.

In order to understand our relationship with nature throughout the value chain and to transparently disclose nature-related risks and opportunities to our stakeholders, we have analyzed the relationship and disclosed relevant information based on the recommendations by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD)

For our Group’s existing businesses, we first conducted a comprehensive identification of potential nature-related risks and opportunities. We then carried out a qualitative assessment of the magnitude of their impact on our Group’s business and the likelihood of their occurrence, and selected the items that should be addressed on a priority basis.
In addition, when we acquire new land through the construction of a new plant, M&A, or other means, we will investigate biodiversity impacts as necessary and assess the related risks and opportunities.

Resource Circulation

In addition to working on reducing the volume of waste output and conserving biodiversity, both of which are among our material issues, our Group will contribute to the creation of a circular society.
