We have a long history of delivering safe and tasty food to customers, a history that goes back to our founding year of 1931.
Recent years have seen dramatic changes in the macro-economic environment. Of particular concern are environmental challenges such as climate change. Another notable change is the diversification of people’s needs and values. We must face up to these challenges through our business activities if our organization is to endure for many more years to come. With that in mind, we defined a set of material issues (the issues that matter the most to our business and our shareholders) in fiscal 2020, along with metrics, targets, and action plans for the issues. Across our corporate group, we are working to address each issue. We have also committed to upholding the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).
We will continue committing to concrete targets that align with the goal of a sustainable society. Inspired by dreams and goals, everyone across Prima Meat Packers Group is ready to take on the big challenges with a spirit of independent thinking unbound by past precedents and conventional solutions.
