Committing to Sustainability as an Organization that Delivers Food Excellence and Excitement

We have a longstanding track record, going back to our foundation in 1931, in supplying customers with safe, tasty food.

Today, we face a rapidly changing business landscape. Of particular concern are the increasingly severe environmental threats and climate change. Other challenges include the diversification in people’s needs and values. Only by addressing such challenges through business activities can we ensure our long-term business success.

Our current medium-term business plan sets out a basic policy of making sustainability a core part of our business strategy. We can only sustain business growth if we understand the risks and opportunities that lie ahead in the medium and long term. Accordingly, we have defined our material issues, set goals for these issues, and launched initiatives to achieve them. Additionally, we actively use the disclosure frameworks advocated by the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures.

Our ongoing commitment is to meet the diversifying needs of customers and to grow our businesses in an environmentally responsible way so that we contribute to food culture and society.
