Activity Report on the FY2018 "Prima Meat Packers Forest Growing"

Since 2006, Prima Meat Packers has been promoting forest conservation
activities in Saitama Prefecture as "Prima Meat Packers Forest Growing."
Under Saitama Prefectural Office's "Forest CO2 Absorption Certification System "*1, as achievement in FY2018, the company's activities were certified as absorbing 13.7 tons of CO2/year.
CO2 absorption of 13.7 tons-CO2 is equivalent to for 42 people if converted to annual CO2 emissions from human breathing.
The company will continue to promote forest conservation activities.

*1:Saitama Prefecture started the "Forest CO2 Absorption Certification System" in FY2010.
This system aims to promote awareness of the need to protect and nurture forests throughout society by certifying the amount of CO2 absorbed by forest maintenance activities.

Prima Meat Packers has been participating in this system since 2011.
The results of CO2 absorption are denoted on the website of the Saitama Prefectural Office.
